To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Nielson Tower, home of the Filipinas Heritage Library, LibraryLink features an article by the Dutch marine explorer, H. Nieuwenhuijs, which was published in the Philippine Magazine in 1936, the year before Nielson airport was inaugurated in Makati. LibraryLink also features a book on second-generation Filipinos in America at the time that aviation was beginning to take flight in the Philippines. We also feature the website of the Filipino American Library, one of many institutions around the world that seek to preserve and promote Filipino-American heritage and identity.
